Christophe Van Langenhove

Summary

I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and an Affiliated Researcher at Ghent University (UGent). I received my Ph.D. in Economics from Ghent University in 2025, where my dissertation focused on wealth inequality and wealth mobility in the United States. My research combines empirical analyses of micro data with the development of heterogeneous-agent macroeconomic models that focus on understanding the driving forces behind among other wealth inequality and wealth mobility. At the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, I teach introductory and intermediate courses in macroeconomics and supervise master’s dissertations.
