Christophe Van Langenhove

Summary

I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and an Affiliated Researcher at Ghent University (UGent). I obtained my Ph.D. in Economics from Ghent University in 2025. My research focuses on understanding the driving forces behind wealth inequality and wealth mobility, using empirical micro datasets and theoretical heterogeneous-agent models. At the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, I teach introductory and intermediate courses in macroeconomics and supervise master’s dissertations.
